Electrical Area Manager
Job description
Position Overview: HomePro is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Area Manager (EAM) to lead and manage a team of Electrical Project Managers (EPMs) within the Residential Electrical sector. The EAM will play a critical role in ensuring the success and growth of Homepro's electrical projects across designated territories. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership, communication, and technical skills, along with a strong background in electrical project management and residential construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of Electrical Project Managers (EPMs) by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient project execution and optimal performance.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with EPMs to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of residential electrical projects, while adhering to industry best practices, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Performance Management: Set clear performance goals for the EPMs, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to projects to maximize productivity and meet project timelines.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and ensuring that projects are delivered to their satisfaction, while maintaining Homepro's reputation for excellence.
- Budget and Cost Management: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Technical Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, electrical codes, and technological advancements to provide expert advice and solutions to project challenges.
- Communication: Serve as a central point of communication between the EPMs, internal departments, clients, and contractors, ensuring effective information flow and coordination.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports detailing project status, key performance indicators, and potential risks to senior management, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Problem Solving: Address issues, conflicts, and obstacles that arise during projects, utilizing a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Qualifications:.
- Proven experience in managing residential electrical projects, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and find innovative solutions.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CEM, or similar are a plus.
- Residential Wireman/Journeyman Electrician License
