For over 20 years, HomePro has proudly served the Texas residential homebuilding industry as a licensed electrical contractor and full-service technology provider. Our team installs, services, and maintains electrical systems for new residential construction while also offering expertise in security, automation, and entertainment systems. We are currently seeking Electrical Service Technicians with a valid TDLR license to join our growing team. This role focuses on warranty and homeowner service work in new residential homes, providing critical electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and installations that uphold our builder relationships and customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems, circuits, and components in residential new construction homes.
• Perform service panel work including breaker replacement, wiring terminations, and load balancing.
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues related to outlets, lighting, switches, breakers, and circuits.
• Install and repair conduit, feeders, branch circuits, and other electrical components in compliance with NEC and TDLR standards.
• Coordinate with homeowners and builders to complete warranty service requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain and account for tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with code requirements.
• Instruct apprentices or helpers in safe work practices, tool use, and electrical methods as needed.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or service manager.

Position Requirements

• Licenses: Valid Texas Journeyman or Residential Wireman License; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ residential electrical experience. Prior service/warranty experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, NEC code, and residential wiring methods.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with customers and team members.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Work performed in residential homes and construction sites.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, crawling in attics or tight spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Regular use of ladders, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must comply with HomePro and OSHA safety standards.
