Position Overview
The Electrical Service Division Manager is the top leader for our branch-level electrical service operations. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the electrical service division, including financial performance, operational standards, reporting, and team leadership. The Division Manager ensures that our service organization consistently delivers high-quality work, maintains profitability, and supports our home builder partners with excellence.
This position is approximately 85% in office (financials, reporting, leadership, planning) and 15% in the field (site visits, quality control, and coaching).
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Directly lead and develop 2 Electrical Area Managers.
- Provide oversight and support for 10 Electrical Project Managers, 11 Electrical Service Technicians, and 4 Apprentices.
- Build a strong, high-performing team culture focused on safety, quality, and accountability.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all electrical service work meets company standards and builder expectations.
- Conduct field audits and jobsite visits to monitor quality and adherence to standards.
- Implement and enforce best practices for scheduling, workflow, and resource management.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Own the division’s P&L performance and ensure profitability targets are met.
- Develop and track budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for the electrical service division.
- Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to the Division President.
Customer & Partner Relations
- Serve as the primary leader ensuring strong relationships with residential home builder partners.
- Resolve escalated service issues quickly and effectively.
- Represent the electrical service division in branch-level leadership meetings.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in the electrical contracting industry (residential new construction strongly preferred).
- Master Electrician or Journeyman license preferred.
- Proven track record of leading managers and multi-layered teams (field and office staff).
- Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibility.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with project management systems, scheduling, and reporting tools.
