Warehouse Operations Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
 - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment that meets company and safety regulations.
 - Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity goals and foster a positive, team-driven culture.
 - Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, reconciliations, and database updates.
 - Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and company departments to ensure timely product distribution.
 - Monitor and report on key warehouse metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement and cost reduction.
 - Collaborate with procurement, sales, and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
 - Identify and resolve operational issues while escalating complex concerns as needed.
 - Ensure compliance with company policies and occupational safety standards at all times.
 - Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
 
Required Skills for Warehouse Management
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
 - Demonstrated experience in warehouse management, supply chain, or logistics roles.
 - Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control software, and standard office applications.
 - Solid understanding of safety regulations, shipping/receiving protocols, and best practices in warehouse logistics.
 - Ability to coach, motivate, and develop diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
 - Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to anticipate and address operational challenges.
 - Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
 - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
 
Education and Warehouse Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
 - Minimum of 3 years in warehouse management, logistics, or relevant supervisory experience.
 - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; forklift certification is a plus.
