Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our receiving and packing operations at our Houston warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse logistics and field labor operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our field teams receive the necessary equipment and materials on time to maintain the high standards we set for service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on efficiency, safety, and quality.
Operations Management: Oversee receiving, inventory management, packing, and dispatching of orders for field labor teams while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with field managers to understand order requirements and ensure timely preparation of materials for installations.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular audits, tracking of shipments, and effective stock management practices.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement within the warehouse; implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the warehouse environment; conduct regular safety training sessions for staff.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, order fulfillment metrics, and team performance; prepare reports for senior management as needed.
Qualifications:Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role within the construction or field labor industry.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing large teams (10+ employees).
Knowledgeable in warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, packing procedures, and logistics coordination.
Familiarity with smart home technology or related fields is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including field labor personnel.
Proficiency in using warehouse management software (WMS) or other inventory tracking systems.
